In Jharkhand, due to high variability of monsoon, rains, low moisture holding capacity of soils, absence of developed aquifers due to hard rock substrate and high run-off due to the undulating terrain, agriculture is fright with high risk.
Chetna Vikas and Action Aid is in partnership for the past 10 years. Working together they brought about a sustainable and holistic change in 24 villages of Dumka District, Jharkhand. In this area, there was an urgent need to intervene in human rights and livelihood issues.
The Community Based Rehabilitation forum is working with Chetna Vikas in Mohanpur and Deoghar blocks of Deoghar district. Individual rehabilitation plan of 365 PwDs has been done through convergence with the government welfare department for aids and appliances.
