Chetna Vikas and Action Aid is in partnership for the past 10 years. Working together they brought about a sustainable and holistic change in 24 villages of Dumka District, Jharkhand. In this area, there was an urgent need to intervene in human rights and livelihood issues. The rural communities were living in a cycle of poverty and oppression. The primary goal was to develop and capacitate the particular communities to overcome their problems. Their problems were surrounding economy, agriculture, deforestation, infrastructure, standard of living, gender inequality, health, education and tribal governance.
