Chetna Vikas Organized a Series of Workshops on Child Protection Across Deoghar District
In January and February, Chetna Vikas conducted a series of one-day workshops focused on the need for changing societal, community, and stakeholder perspectives on child protection. These workshops were held at the block auditoriums in Mohanpur, Devipur, Deoghar, Palojori, and Madhupur blocks of Deoghar district.
During these sessions, Kumar Ranjan, Secretary of Chetna Vikas, shared the organization’s journey toward reaching the last person in society with development initiatives. The team also provided detailed information on child protection issues through a PPT presentation, highlighting the organization’s ongoing efforts in this critical area. An open discussion was held with all stakeholders, focusing on the current status, consequences, and potential solutions related to child marriage, child sexual abuse, child labour, and child trafficking.
Devendra, member of the Deoghar Child Welfare Committee (CWC), shed light on the committee's role and the legal provisions in place for child protection.
The workshops saw active participation from various stakeholders, including block office officials, BEOs, police station in-charges, CWC members, District Child Protection Officers, NGO representatives, BPOs, Panchayat Secretaries, Anganwadi Sevikas, and Women Supervisors, all of whom shared their insights and perspectives.
